Ga-Ga over green? A huge color of this spring and summer is green, so you better make sure you own a shirt, accessory, bag, hair, or something in the green family. Of course, I made sure to buy a green Prada Bag (pics to come soon) which is more subdued than other versions. Take this Be & D Patent Hobo, which is screaming with green patent leather in the slouchy hobo shape. Typically I would think it is too much, but somehow in this particular bag, it is just right. The patent leather is a rich green, that is not any hue other than green-green, which is offset with silver tone hardware. A front zip pocket and tie closures break up the shape and lines. I’m not running out the door for this one, but I know there are people who can pull it off perfectly. Buy through Neiman Marcus for $1250.

Prada hit huge with their Grauffre bags and is still trying to keep a good thing going. Introducing slightly antiqued and shaded pebbled leather, Prada has released a variety of Bowler Handbags. Neiman Marcus has the natural tan version of the Prada Leather Bowler which will be available in the next few months. This bag is sure to be a hit, sporting antiqued pebbled leather along with gold tone hardware and a removable chain shoulder strap. Available for pre-order via Neiman Marcus for $2050. Prada appears to feel confident that the Bowler’s will be one of the next huge trends, therefor they have created different renditions. My favorite versions are the Prada Patchwork Bowlers with fringe (can be seen below). Typically, I would not be drawn to a fringe bag, but the fringe strap is just enough and makes this bag overly fashionable and chic. What do you think, Fab or Drab?

The Prada craze over the Gaufre is well deserved. The ruched leather is done impeccably by Prada and the various options available means that there is most likely a Gaufre that will suit any lady or gent. While browsing the Prada Venice store I was drooling over a creamy supple camel colored lambskin Gaufre. On the other end of the spectrum is the Silver Metallic Prada Nappa Gaufre Messenger which is gleaming and beaming enough for you to view a distorted view of your face everywhere you go. Not totally my style, but intense metallics are in and this messenger is easy to carry around for your summer days. When riding a beautiful clean high wave, keep on riding. Prada has the right idea to keep pushing more colors, versions, leathers, and materials of their hit Prada Gaufre. Next on the block is the Prada Nappa Gaufre Convertible Handbag. This stunning off-white (also available in black) handbag is designed with ruched nappa leather in a beautiful curved top shape. There is the infamous and perfectly usable detachable body strap and ID tag. Keep riding this wave Prada, because you keep having more ’surfers’ join the Prada Gaufre craze. Through Saks for $2620.

As spring rears her beautiful head around the corner, spring and summer bags are trying to make their way into our arms. Some I am drooling over and some I am laughing at. Take the Prada Tessuto Oro Chain Bag for example. Here you will see a small bag that has an overly long strap to wear this tiny thing across your body and a stencil cut logo plate that is downright tawdry. If you are about 2 feet tall, wearing such a small bag (5″H X 7″L) across your body may look good, but those of us upwards of 2 feet will look silly in this bag. Take me for example, 5′10 sporting a tiny bag that is a fugly and overly tacky logo plate. This is the kind of fug bag that you use to draw attention to yourself, bad attention.
