Prada Nappa Gaufrean Hobo

These pleated purses usually don’t do much for me, but I’d be lying if I said I didn’t adore this great Prada design. The Prada Nappa Gaufrean Hobo is neatly gathered and pleated all over, with a handle, removable shoulder strap and the most buttery leather around. It’s a great twist on the standard carryall. This version offers some personality while maintaining its versatility and timelessness. Another winner from Prada. Available for $1650 at Diabro.

Prada Ombre Large Boston Bag, Handbag of the Day

It may not be the most practical way to spend $1000, but at Luxist we are not about being practical – we are about luxury! And the Prada Ombre Large Boston Bag is not only super luxe but gorgeous as well. Made of pigskin, the ivory and dark tones are visually captivating while the minimalist design adds an air of mystery and elegance. And not to knock it, but it can be a refreshing change when a bag is not plastered with logos or a brightly colored design. Personally, I am a fan of all bags that grab and keep my attention. The leather double handles measures at 19″ and has a 7″ drop. Prada’s understated Boston Bag is perfect for your next jet setting weekend plans. Dimensions: 15¾ ” wide x 11¼” tall x 6¾” deep. Price: $1036.

Prada Tessuto Gauffre 2Way Tote Bag

Any way you carry it, it’s bound to garner you some serious attention. The Prada Tessuto Gauffre 2Way Tote Bag features a lengthy shoulder strap and an elegant woven leather handle, allowing you a couple of choices for carrying this shiny brown purse. With its thick pleats and gold hardware, it’s surprisingly glamorous, in a low-key sort of way. The bag’s lining is especially attractive: gold lettering spells out Prada and mingles with the brand’s hieroglyphic-style monogram print. Carry this practically anywhere – it’s an easy way to pull together your look. Available for around $1130 at Diabro.

Miu Miu Nappa Soft Tote

Love the Prada Gaufre but hate the price? Then check out some of the latest designs from Miu Miu, the younger sister of Prada but also the just as pretty sister. Not exactly boasting the ruching but sporting elegant style and an across body option, the Miu Miu Nappa Soft Tote is a stunning option if the Prada price tag is a bit much. This is Miu Miu all grown up and at the ball to meet her Prince Charming, sporting lush Nappa leather, understated buckled detailing on the double handles, and chic pleating on the front. The color is an off-white, named Cera. Measuring 8″H X 15″W X 4″D, this beauty comes directly from Italy. My babble about the price holds up against a new Prada bag, but the price tag is still not super cheap, but not up there rolling with the big big girls. $1,385 at Saks.
