Some more amazing bright coloured clutch purses have come to my attention and this time they are Prada. I have not always caught on to the Prada style, I often follow smaller designers or vintage stores but I am in awe at Prada’s spring/summer collection. Florals and bright colours … perfect!

The clutch in question is the Prada Nappa Clutch with asymmetrical motif and polished steel hardware. Available in five different colours, papaya, peony, violet, black and turquoise the cute clutch is fabulous for summer and ideally it would be great to have all of them in each colour. However at £545 each I guess it will stay a dream for me.

It’s been a while since I checked out the Prada tricks and they have definitely evolved. Last time I looked at the popular baubles which clip on to purses and cell phones they were rudimentary leather pieces. Now the latest lines include miniature teddy bears (which remind me of the little animals we used to clip on our tote bags back in the 1980s) and the Travel tricks which are reproductions of magnets for the dashboards of gentlemen’s cars from the Prada archives. The Prada tricks are priced between $130 and $225.

These pleated purses usually don’t do much for me, but I’d be lying if I said I didn’t adore this great Prada design. The Prada Nappa Gaufrean Hobo is neatly gathered and pleated all over, with a handle, removable shoulder strap and the most buttery leather around. It’s a great twist on the standard carryall. It may not be the most practical way to spend $1000, but at Luxist we are not about being practical - we are about luxury!
