Louis Vuitton Eva Clutch

Louis Vuitton Eva Clutch

I hadn’t loved any of the new Louis Vuitton purses for quite awhile, but that all changed when I laid eyes on the Eva Clutch. The design is inspired by one of my favorite models Eva Herzigova. I’m not sure if “inspired by” means she took part in it’s conception, or if by looking at her perfect face someone was inspired to make it…either way this dainty bag is getting my vote for must have Louis of 2008. The clever removable straps allow you to carry it three different ways, using the short chain on your shoulder, using the long strap on your shoulder (which leaves the chain hanging as a decoration), or using the chain around your wrist as a pouchette. I love love love this bag! The Eva Clutch is available online and in select stores (it’s selling out quickly, so get on a list) for $530, not bad as far as Louis go.

Richard Prince Louis Vuitton Limited Edition Jamais Bag

Richard Prince Louis Vuitton Limited Edition Jamais Bag

Louis Vuitton collaborated with Richard Prince for a spring line of handbags, and now they’ve taken it a step further and created a special limited edition version to celebrate Prince’s first solo exhibition (called “Continuation”) that will take place at the Serpentine Gallery (in the UK) from June 26 - Sept 7.

There will be 50 of the ostrich and canvas Jamais bags available (numbered and signed of course) at Vuitton’s Sloane Street store in London and each will be priced at about $17,800.

Very springy and cute, I love ‘em!

Violent Acres and Louis Vuitton

Violent Acres and Louis Vuitton

One of ArmCandyGirl’s favourite bloggers out there is the irrepressible Violent Acres, a brilliantly funny writer with a life story that rivals the most controversial of celebrity memoirs. Why do we love VA so much? Well, there are many reasons, the most important being that she is smart, savvy, sarcastic, and (we strongly suspect) hot as hell. So! Without further adieu, ArmCandyGirl would like to present the Perfect Purse for Violent Acres. We give you: The Damier Azur Berkeley from Louis Vuitton! Now why this purse, we hear you ask? Well for starters, it has exquisite craftsmenship. VA comes across as a lady who appreciates the finer things in life, so that’s quite important. Then there’s the fact that, despite it being a Louis Vuitton purse, it isn’t slathered in obnoxious LV signs - VA doesn’t care if you know she’s carrying a $1,500 purse because she doesn’t give a flying monkey what you think (a sentiment she has made patently clear thus far with her ‘no comments allowed’ policy). And then there’s the fact that the purse is just the right size for our heroine to tote around all day without getting too tired, but still large enough to use as a weapon (beware, mommy bloggers!). Finally, we think Violent Acres and the Damier Berkeley would be perfect for each other because, much like Violent Acres herself, this purse is oh-so sweet, classy and pretty in the edgiest of ways. Violent Acres + Louis Vuitton = a match made in fashion heaven!

The Speedy from Louis Vuitton is an old favorite, which is why this new play on a classic design is so very lovely. Called the Monogram Dentelle Speedy 30, this monogram canvas purse with caramel trim is a wonderful go-to bag for everyday use. Brass hardware and rolled leather handles finish off this comfy, roomy purse - and the icing on the cake is the gorgeous lurex embroidery, made of real lace for that extra touch of luxury. Louis Vuitton Monogram Shearling Bags

Louis Vuitton Monogram Shearling Bags
Louis Vuitton bags, although always bearing a similar streak, have once again been reinvented with a shearling look. The Shearling ‘Storm’ and Shearling ‘Thunder’ run for $3,850 and $3,450 respectively, their main difference being their shape. Personally, I like the shearling look — its cozy feel and glamor-winter style suits me just fine. Already seen with R&B star Ciara and VJ LaLa from MTV, I’m sure these bags will be a hit with the Hollywood types.

The Louis Vuitton Mahina XXL Handbag

The Louis Vuitton Mahina XXL Handbag

The long anticipated arrival of the latest Louis Vuitton Mahina has come to an end! This beauty can now be discovered on the virtual shelf of eluxury where it retails for (*drumroll*) a whopping $3,750.

“Name is inspired by the crescents and phases of the moon; in Polynesian culture, Mahina is a lunar deity.”

The bag comes dressed in a meticulous and precise perforated flower and LV monogram pattern fabric with contrast topstitching and double rolled leather handle straps that are long enough to carry over the shoulder or on your forearm. This bag also features a hook closure secured by a flap and clasp with the Louis Vuitton signature, an internal zippered pocket and a D-ring for attaching a pouch or key holder (which you will need if you go with the xxl), and side buckles for adjusting the size and bottom studs for protection. Measurements of the xxl Mahina Handbag are 32.3″ x 16.5″ x 11.4″

The Louis Vuitton Monogram Multicolore Berlingot Purse

The Louis Vuitton Monogram Multicolore Berlingot Purse

Named after a candy from Carpentras, Louis Vuitton’s Berlingot is a fun and original key holder that can also be used as a change purse or bag charm. So for those days when you feel like going purse-less, just stuff this little guy up with your cards, a couple dollars, and lipgloss and you will be set. Or, if you are toting along a big bag then just clip it on the D-ring and tada, your necessities will be within reach.

This little designer mini purse comes dressed in the signature vibrant Monogram Multicolore (creation of Takashi Murakami for Louis Vuitton) body, with shiny golden brass hardware, natural cowhide, and signature yellow topstitching.

Louis Vuitton Monogrammed Shearling Storm Handbag

Churning out excess like only Louis Vuitton can, the line’s new Shearling Storm bag is a winter-perfect carryall that has me swooning. It’s not my usual type of purse at all, but somehow the allure of patent leather, shearling trim and the black, brown and cream color combination is too irresistible for words. It’s not going win any beauty pageants anytime soon - that’s obvious because this is definitely an acquired taste - but for anyone who loves all-out glamorous handbags with a penchant for standing up to the season’s harshest elements, this is for you. Grab it for $3850 by calling 1-888-VUITTON.
