I love the shape of Coach’s ‘Francine’, although the Coach site describes it as “unique” and it’s hardly that, and I love the colour of this one. It’s also available in teal and in white and it’s not as striking in either. In fact, it looks a little bit cheap, in my opinion.
I’m also not entirely sure about the detachable shoulder straps – useful, but again, a bit cheap-looking. That said, it costs $798, so as ‘It’ bags go, it’s a bargain.

Seriously who would buy this? Would you? Would you fork over $20k on a coach handbag? Even if I had all the money in the world, there is no way I would spend that much on a alligator sack by Coach. I would rather get a Hermes…

Coach recently came out with this new Bleecker line about a month ago, which is basically “the new and improved” version of the original Coach Duffle Sac that was produced in the early 70’s.
The unique looking bag is new to the Bleecker collection. It’s created with a patchwork of foliage colored leather pieces on the vintage inspired slouchy shape.
I guess the shape is okay, but you know it reminds me of those vintage coach bags that you can find at any antique-retro-vintage shop, that usually retail for no more than $80. And that patchwork pattern looks too old fashioned. Like a bag you would find hiding in the dark corner of your grandmothers closet. Maybe its just me. What do you guys think?
So the simple question is… would wear this bag? Or even pay in the neighborhood of $700 for creation?
