It takes a minute to digest the odd splashes of color on this one, but somehow it seems to work even if tan leather studs, red-trimmed zippers, brass hardware and black patent leather seem an unlikely team. Audra is soft and relaxed, less structured than the basic work tote but still just as pulled together and appropriate for a day at the office or a sick day at the mall. A wide strip of logo-emblazoned metallic blue calf leather adds a bit of pizazz to an otherwise standard looking canvas bag. More shimmery blue leather trims the large exterior zippered pocket and the thick leather straps. Inside, you’ll find several more zippered pockets and black lining. It’s a pretty bag, but that taupe colored tassel looks out of place. $789.

It’s not as if you normally need an excuse to carry a Chloe bag. You’d stock your entire closet with them if you could. But there are certain styles that are more brow-raising than heart-racing, and this blah Debbie Hobo is a great example. Downright dull, from its typical shape to its unimpressive details, this purse wouldn’t pass for a Chloe if it weren’t for the giveaway pull tabs. Yet another ho-hum, neutral hobo? No, thanks.
