Sarah Jessica Parker was the fashion diva of Sex and the City. While she wanders the city, she brings a new shade to the appeal of black and white. Grey and white is her theme while out in Greenwhich Village, can’t say it is flattering. But Sarah Jessica Parker’s Balenciaga Calcaire Twiggy does make her casual train wreck outfit more suitable. SJP we commend the bag and abhor the rest.

If there is one thing I’ve learned in the past year since the opening of our Purse Forum, then it’s that there is no crowd more obsessive, determined, fanatic and crazy such as the Balenciaga crowd. These women would literally kill for some of these bags, the past season’s discontinued colors seems to be particularly sought after. It’s nuts! Balenciaga women need their own Balenciaga way, no questions asked.

One more reason why the Balenciaga Forum is so bloody busy. The Bbag creators are very strict about keeping their bags exclusive, which means that there is really no online stores that sell them… which usually leads to many ladies waiting for months until their most-wanted style and color appear in an authentic eBay auction and *BLAM* they go for the kill like they’d been starving through a winter hybernation. This is the reason why our moderators suggested the installation of an extra section for the fellow Bbag fanatics to point out last minute auctions on Bbags, which is a unique treatment and I was more than happy to give it to them.

Crazy bunch. In a good way, of course. It’s still hysterical for me to sit here and watch the crowd go ape sh*t. Only the Louis Vuitton ladies are struct with a similar, obsessive complexion. But if it came down to it, the Balenciaga ladies would take the pot home.

P.S. Now that I think about it, the Hermes Forum has quite the tough crowd, too.

This post is do overdue, it’s not even remotely funny. About freakin’ time I got myself together to compile the best Balenciaga bags for Spring/Summer of ‘05. What I didn’t know until recently is that Balenciaga actually uses naturally distressed goat leather that gives the bags the slouchy, unique and ultra chic look that everyone loves and adores. Every female celebrity that comes to mind has one, but more about that later. Let’s show some bags and colors:

A word of advice to you - due to the nature of intense demand, there is so many shops online claiming to sell the real deal, and yet only offering cheap knock-offs. My advice: If someone offers you a 100% authentic Balenciaga for half the retail price, forgetaboutit. Stay away from Ebay, 99% of the sold bags are faux. Best bet are either Balenciaga brick’n mortar stores, malls like NM or Saks, or Balenciaga-certified online retailers, such as mentioned Brown’s or Aloha Rag. Don’t get ripped off.

I am sure if I were a celeb, or just a rich girl with unlimited funds on my credit card, I too would own around 20 Balenciaga bags. Paris’ little sister Nicky has been spotted carrying countless Balenciagas. We are talking around 20. Do you know how long and hard a regular person like me has waited on a list for just one? For a single one! I’ve given up on that quest, because I now realize that the celebs will steal that dream from me. Just a few days ago Nicky Hilton was seen sporting the Magenta Balenciaga Bag. At a first glance I thought she didn’t look good, but with a closer look I’m lovin’ her look. But her hair color- either I don’t like the color, or I don’t like the fried-out dry hair look. But let us not forget that she is carrying a beautiful bag!
