One of the latest new additions is the Miu Miu woven fringe hobo. The hobo is dressed in a woven pattern body and features double trails of fringe down each side. Not as dramatic as Miu Miu’’s distant relatives version* - Prada’’s Nappa Weave Flap Hobo. Still I have never been a fan of tassel fringe. I would get the urge to pull out the scissors and start snipping away. Or at least avoid this bag all together. What do you guys think? A hit or miss?

Feel like a rock star by toting this Metallic Olive Zipper Hobo by Rock & Republic. Devi Kroell launched her luxury handbag collection in Spring 2004, instantly her designs became favorites among stylists and haute purse lovers. In the last few years Vogue, W, Harper’s Bazaar, and Elle have all written articles praising Devi, and her collections have been featured in countless fashion spreads. Kroell Classic Large Hobo Bags retail for $3190, making them some of the more expensive purses I have seen in awhile. Crafted in Italy of shiny metallic python, they’re available online in lilac (shown), gold, steel, black and silver. The dark brown version is made from ostrich and costs $5990!

The Charles David Chapman Large Slouch Hobo is a big bag with a ton of style and a reasonable price tag. Made from soft Italian leather and silver tone hardware, the ‘Chapman’ features a ruched topline with double braided handles, magnetic snap closure, and fully lined interior with zip and pouch pockets. Measurements are 19 x 14 x 6.

For those of you familiar with the latest “IT” bags, you’ll recognize the obvious design similarities between the ‘Chapman’ and the Chanel Coco Cabas Tote Bag (Pictured above right). For $346 via Nordstrom, the Charles David version is a comparatively inexpensive alternative.

From hobo to clutch, this exotic designer handbag is sure to get your head turning. Hot from the Spring 2007 Runway, the Nuti Ostrich Hobo shows off black ostrich which is offset with tonal top stitching and silver tone hardware. Everything about this handbag screams hot. The only addition that I could see anyone questioning is the metallic wire ring on the front, but I think it perfectly accompanies the bag. The inside is lined with orange suede and there is a small interior zip pocket. Dimensions are 5″H x 9 3/4″W x 2″D. Super exotically-hot via Neiman Marcus for $1600.

While browsing through my own site, I realized a lack in spring and summer colors. Shocked, I started to wonder if I am feeling downtrodden, and being drawn to such dark colors. But honestly, browse the handbags out there, there are tons of dark shades. Blame it on fall and winter and the fashion world always selling a season ahead of time. To refresh all of your memories that it is indeed spring and nearly summer, the Gustto Large Parina Hobo is available in a scrumptious sky blue or white with lambskin leather. Laid back, lady-like, and some other great l-word, sums up this upcoming designer bag. Yellow gold hardware is not overpowering, but perfectly fitting along with the drawstring top and front zip pocket. Doesn’t this just scream summer? Measurements make it perfect for an everyday bag, 15″H x 18″W x 3 1/2″D. While not super cheap, this designer bag is under $1000 and even under $700. Perfect. Via Bergdorf Goodman for $625.
