Check out the Coach Bleecker Bags new dress.

If you thought $700 was alot of cash to spend on a Coach handbag, then I have a shocker for you, check out Coach’s latest addition to the vintage-inspired designer purse line. It’s the Coach Bleecker Bag in Alligator! Price of this exotic piece will set you back $20,000!!!

Seriously who would buy this? Would you? Would you fork over $20k on a coach handbag? Even if I had all the money in the world, there is no way I would spend that much on a alligator sack by Coach. I would rather get a Hermes…

Coach recently came out with this new Bleecker line about a month ago, which is basically “the new and improved” version of the original Coach Duffle Sac that was produced in the early 70’s.

The unique looking bag is new to the Bleecker collection. It’s created with a patchwork of foliage colored leather pieces on the vintage inspired slouchy shape.

I guess the shape is okay, but you know it reminds me of those vintage coach bags that you can find at any antique-retro-vintage shop, that usually retail for no more than $80. And that patchwork pattern looks too old fashioned. Like a bag you would find hiding in the dark corner of your grandmothers closet. Maybe its just me. What do you guys think?

So the simple question is… would wear this bag? Or even pay in the neighborhood of $700 for creation?

The original Coach Duffle Sac, produced in the early 70’s, has been brought back from the dead and reinterpreted for today to be featured in Coach’s latest Bleecker Collection. Available in a couple sizes (price range $328 to $448) and in a bunch of dark natural colors - Bottle green, British tan, Cora black, Ink blue, Rust, Wine and Brass Putty. I’m not a huge fan of the earth-tone colors. Well the blue-ish ink color is kinda cool, but nothing for me to go crazy about. So if you are like me and are looking for a bleecker bag with a little bit more lively color, then mark your calendars, Coach is releasing the Magenta color on October 12th. Although it’s “Coach Magenta,” so it’s probably still going to have a dark tint, I’m sure.

Not only is this bag just about the perfect size for every day use, the wide open shape might it make it easier to locate your keys at the bottom of it. The slightly pebbled dark brown leather gleams next to the gold-tone hardware and the bag is chock full of zipper storage - front, back and side.
