Lara Bohinc Rosetina Foiled Leather Bag, Handbag of the Day

What an exquisite example of a metallic leather handbag that is more gorgeous than garish. The softly gathered perforated leather gives and interesting texture and I am in love with the gold chain link handle. The wide band of smooth gold leather around the middle adds some weight to the delicate-looking bag and a knotted length of chain dresses up the press-stud fastener. Inside the bag is lined in red and features one small pocket. $965.

Be & D Greta Bag, Handbag of the Day

Take luxury to new heights with Be & D’s Greta Clutch. Made of chinchilla and accented with an oversized black patent python buckle, this adds “ooh la la” to the most mundane and monochromatic outfits. Soft to the touch and beautifully constructed, the Greta Clutch is exquisite. I cannot speak to how well chinchilla holds up or how durable it is when held in someone’s hand for possibly hours – especially if you have sweaty palms – but nonetheless it is gorgeous. The interior is lined with suede and features a zippered pocket to store delicate and personal items. Clutch dimensions: 13″ L x 3″ W x 6″ H. Price: $995.

Depending on who you ask there can just never be enough handbags and accessories in the world, and for those who agree there’s a new line coming out from Henri Bendel just in time for the holidays. Soon to be joining the envious ranks of the Henri Bendel makeup cases will be a whole group of new items including jewelry, handbags, and wallets.

One signature item, available at the Fifth Avenue store, is the 1907 Centennial stripe East-West tote that will retail for $450. But if that’s not your thing there’s plenty of other options like cuffs, bangles, pendant necklaces, and earrings to name a few.

Furla Frede Bug Shape Bag, Handbag of the Day

At first glance, this domed-shape bag doesn’t really stand out. The details are spare and there is very little hardware to catch the eye. But maybe that is what makes it the ideal bag for every day use. With barely-there contrasting top stitching, the rolled leather handles attach to the bag as if they grew there. Softly gathered leather gives a feminine look and the light tan color goes with just about anything. With the logo embossed discreetly between the handles, the wide zippered closure gives full access to the interior, which is lined in logo fabric and features zip and cell phone pockets. Get it at Harrods for £355.00.

Vanessa Bruno Suede Shirred Bag, Handbag of the Day

I love the slouchy and casual look of this bag. Dark olive suede is gathered through double strips of leather, adding to the slouch factor and creating roomy pockets on both sides of the bag. With just a touch of metal in the small buckle details on the sides and handle, the bag secures with a hidden magnetic closure. Inside, it is lined in similarly colored cotton and has a large main compartment with one zip and two slide pockets. $615.00
