Take luxury to new heights with Be & D’s Greta Clutch. Made of chinchilla and accented with an oversized black patent python buckle, this adds “ooh la la” to the most mundane and monochromatic outfits. Soft to the touch and beautifully constructed, the Greta Clutch is exquisite. I cannot speak to how well chinchilla holds up or how durable it is when held in someone’s hand for possibly hours – especially if you have sweaty palms – but nonetheless it is gorgeous. The interior is lined with suede and features a zippered pocket to store delicate and personal items. Clutch dimensions: 13″ L x 3″ W x 6″ H. Price: $995.

What an exquisite example of a metallic leather handbag that is more gorgeous than garish. The softly gathered perforated leather gives and interesting texture and I am in love with the gold chain link handle. The wide band of smooth gold leather around the middle adds some weight to the delicate-looking bag and a knotted length of chain dresses up the press-stud fastener. Inside the bag is lined in red and features one small pocket. $965.

How do you dress up a rather plain snake-printed leather clutch? Add some over sized brass rings and attach a saber-carved piece of wood. I like the idea, but the unusual handle just doesn’t seem to go on this particular bag. It looks slightly better on the black version of the clutch, but still stands out as bulky and mismatched on such a sleek bag. With a magnetic flap closure and faille lining, the bag measures 10″W by 5″H by 2½” D and has zero pockets. $315.

This bag stands out for its shape, but I particularly like the handle attachments, which look a bit like a large, covered buttons trimmed in gold. The patent leather itself looks thick and soft and the hollyberry color is beautifully festive. I can see myself carrying this go-with-anything black and white leather tote on a regular basis. At 18″ x 16.5″ x 1″, it’s large enough to hold everything I need and has plenty of room for additional shopping finds. It has wide, comfortable straps and the interior cell and zip pockets will prevent the awkward ‘tote-dig’. A little antiqued brass studded detail and a logo luggage tag finish off the look of this simple and practical bag. $1,600.

Pleats make it puff and patent leather makes this shiny bag a winner. With all the interest on the bag itself, the solid silver turnlock fastener sill manages to catch my eye. There is nothing dainty about it and I love the way it contrasts with the glossy jet black of the bag. Matte leather rolled handles are attached with gleaming silver rings and the bag is fully lined with one inside pocket. £830.00.
