One of the stars of the new Wes Anderson movie doesn’t even have a speaking part. It’s the 11 pieces of distinctive Louis Vuitton luggage made specifically for the movie. The luggage was designed by Marc Jacobs for Louis Vuitton and includes monogrammed steamer trunks, duffels, and suitcases covered in a jungle pattern created by Anderson’s brother, Eric. The luggage will be auctioned off with proceeds going to benefit UNICEF and the Rawal Mallinathji Foundation, a medical treatment charity in India. The luggage is on display at the Louis Vuitton store in New York and you can enter a silent bid for the pieces there.

Lanvin Jeanne Pouchette, Handbag of the Day

This is a sharp looking leather bag with lots of nice silver-tone detail. Why did they have to go and ruin it with that cotton web strap? I like the contrast, but black leather would have been a better choice, I think. Looking past the adjustable strap, the little pouchette is pretty with the details and at 10″x6.5″x3.5″, it is a nice compact size. The bag is also available in black and dark khaki, presumably with the same icky strap. $1065.

Louis Vuitton Epi Leather Eugnie Wallet

Besides the classic and always in fashion LV Monogram Line (the original of course!) the Epi Leather Line also exudes the timeless class and sophistication that LV is known for around the world. I remember when I first came across the Epi Leather line I instantly fell in love. Although simple in design with no frills or fanfare, it is sleek, clean and sophisticated. And for such an expensive and luxurious line, it helps that it will never go out of style, allowing you to wear it for years on end. The Eugénie Wallet will keep you extremely organized as it features an exuberant amount of credit card slots, a slot to keep your cash crisp and fresh (because no one wants wrinkled money right?) and an exterior zippered coin slot. Dimensions: 7.5″ x 4.2″ x .5″. Also available in black. Price $715.

Former MJ bag designer Joy Gryson’s Tutu satchel is a vision in red. Actually, the color is cerise and it’s a glowing example of distressed done right. Made from Italian calfskin leather, the bag is accented with distressed leather on the handles, adjustable shoulder strap and trim. The hardware is a pale gold and the interior features suede lining and both zip and slide pockets. $1295.

Longchamp Lgende, Handbag of the Day

Inspired by an old-fashioned doctor’s bag, the Légende handbag is anything but dated. With clean lines in a suede-style calfskin leather, the bag sports an extra large, double-zippered top and two stacked side pockets. The warm color is perfect for fall – a rusty red they call Amour. The bag measures 14½ x 10¼ x 5½ inches and is also available in black. $1085.
