Dooney & Bourke have just launched their new Emma Bags modelled by Emma Roberts – star of the Warner Brothers film ‘Nancy Drew’. The collection is part of their spring teen range aimed at teenage girls worldwide. The most noticeable feature of the bags is their sausage-like appearance (especially the brown shades) but apparently this is one of the must have styles of the season.

The bags are made from soft leather and come in either small or medium. Colours available include brown, black, red, white, blue, orange, green, beige and Chamois and each one is decorated with a leather trim and brass accessories.

The bags aren’t cheap, the smaller one retailing at $210 and the medium $235, both are available on the Dooney & Bourke website.

Made of super soft supple leather, Rossi’s Gloria Bag would be an upscale “poking around the city” alternative to your typical everyday handbag. It features a top zipper closure, front and side pockets for easy access and an internal pocket for items that require a little extra care. You can wear across your back using the adjustable shoulder straps or hold using the double top handles. The gold accents look gorgeous against the olive leather. But I can’t say that I am fond of white stitching – it never seems to give off a clean finish to a bag. Bag dimensions: 13″H x 16″L x 8″D. Price: $533.

No need for bight colors or flashy hardware here. This one is all about texture, with ostrich, lizard and linen coexisting nicely in this chic little clutch. An oxidized silver clasp frames a beautifully simple faceted black onyx on the outer flap. Underneath is another flap pocket and open access to the interior of the bag, which is lined and has one zippered pocket. The clutch converts easily to a shoulder bag with two clips hidden discreetly under the flap. Cool sophistication such as this does not come cheap. $1995.

I absolutely love the color of this bag. It’s available in black and cream, but this deep red really makes the gold tone hardware pop. The oversized buckles are decorative as the bag secures with a simple snap flap closure. The 9 1/2 inch chain link strap is well-designed with a comfortable leather strip where it rests on your shoulders. If it is simple and classic you are looking for, this is your bag. $325.
