Vivienne Westwood Pirate Collection Tote, Handbag of the Day

Vivienne Westwood may be known for her funky fashion sense, but this bag looks positively sedate. From her Spring/Summer 2007 Pirate Collection, the gold tote features a classic shape with a retro color scheme. There is something about the gold cotton fabric that brings to mind drapes, but the orange leather trim does funk it up a bit. With just touch of silver on the hardware and the trademark orb, the bag is lined in a logo print and has two interior pockets. $589.57.

Tokidoki for LeSportSac Media Case

When traveling, the care and safety of your gadgets is so important. Quite a few years back, my husband bought me an SLR camera. I was so excited and literally had it by my side at all times. Upon coming home from my trip to AZ, my camera stopped working. And of course I failed to take the warranty on it which would have allowed me to get a brand new camera – of course! With all that said I am super paranoid when it comes to my gadgets. First they are way too expensive to buy a whole new gadget and second, they hold such an enormous amount of personal information that it is heartbreaking when they disappear. Tokidoki for LeSportSac Media Case, although more fashionable than protective, it will keep your iPod and/or cell phone safe from scratches and the random debris that can interfere with the workings of your gadgets. It has a zip top closure to keep it all safe. Carry in your bag, on your wrist or attached to your hip – either way it is safe. Dimensions: 3 1/4″W x 5 1/2″H x 1 1/2″D. Price: $84.

Cartier Plans A Luxe Handbag Line

Cartier is very deliberate when it comes to business and expansion, making strategic appearances at art shows, parties, and various red carpet events in order to promote the upscale Cartier name. And the latest effort is one we haven’t seen from them in awhile, a line of luxury handbags. The ‘Marcello,’ pictured here, will be debuting in a bold set of seasonal colors generally uncharacteristic of Cartier, but that they hope will help project this day-to-evening bag to “fashion staple” status. And as for prices? Expect them to be around $1500.

Leather Shopping Bag

For lovers of leather, this shopping bag might be the ultimate “don’t need it but gotta have it” accessory. Bringing your own shopping bag is the latest thing to do, as we all know how bad plastic is for the environment. So this leather shopping bag, based on the same design as common plastic bags, is perfect for toting a days worth of purchases home in style. It’s extremely simple and functional, but also makes an unexpected statement. My only wish is that it came in other colors. Made in Germany, 14″ x 16.75″. $395 each.

This beautiful bag is actually two accessories in one. The detachable gold gold serpent bracelet serves as a wristlet for the bag, or as a fashion statement all on its own. The bold fuchsia print on ivory satin is stunning, dressed up with a touch of gold piping. With a simple flap closure, it is brilliant spring style at its best. £425.

Fendi Camouflage Media Bag, Handbag of the Day

I love orange and the patent leather trim on this bag really makes things pop. Lots of interesting details here: over sized camouflage-print buckles with logo prongs, chain insets on the tan zucca-print shoulder straps and gold-tone hardware. It all contrasts nicely with the brown/dark green leather of the bag. $1,920.
