Penelope accessorized a beautiful outfit by Wyeth Designs with a coordinating beige Chanel classic flap handbag with gold hardware. Often called the 2.55 purse, sales associates simply refer to this purse as the “classic flap bag”. This purse is the foundation of any handbag collection. It is complete with double chain shoulder strap invented by Coco Chanel to free up use of a woman’s hands and quilted design inspired by jockey’s coats. Also featuring exterior love letter pocket, double flap closure and interior pockets to keep lipstick and compacts secure, it offers everything a lady needs. In the 1980s Karl Lagerfeld put the CC monogram turn clasp into the design. There are few purses that have lasted the test of time such as this one. This classic can be worn for evenings or even daytime paired up with jeans as Miss Cruz has.

The classic flap bag is carried season after season, often coming in limited edition colors. Available in lambskin or caviar leather, the latter is must more wear friendly scratch resistant leather but lambskin is a baby soft to the touch. This fall it is available in black, white, gray, a rich dark chocolate brown, yellow, light green, blush, ruby, clay, and two shades of beige.

I have probably told you all that I will stop talking about the Fendi Spy ten times now. I lied. Fendi realized what a huge fashion impact the Spy has been and won’t stop producing these bad boys. I’m not going to blame them; some of the Spy’s are to die for. Right now there are two new ones that I am torn between. Torn as in which one I like more. So I will leave it up to all of you to decide between the two beautiful beauties.

First there is the Fendi Floral Spy Satchel. This bag intertwines the ‘it’ color of spring and summer, white, with an intricate floral appliqués on front. Absolutely divine! The hardware is both golden and silver metal and there is a front flap for opening. The handle is the leather spy woven handle that we have seen every time. My heart, my eyes, my wallet…

Behind door number two, is the beautiful and subtle Fendi Metallic Spy Satchel. I would be a little less sure about this bag, but after seeing Kelly Osbourne carring it (yes, odd that I use her as a fashion icon right now) I am in love with this bag too. This spy bag is made with metallic gold/silver leather and shows off woven trim. Accented in golden hardware and metallic gold woven leather top handles, the bag shows of glitz and glam without over-doing it. Honestly, this bag has my attention so well. It could dress up any outfit and is so fun and flirty.

As reported by The Bag Lady, little Miss Sexy sported a new and gorgeous Coach bag at the Kid’s Choice Awards. Jessica Alba showed up at the awards toting the new Coach Daphne Straw Top Handle Bag. Apparently Hollywood’s sexy A-lister saw beauty in this new tote which shows off imported straw with python, suede, leather and canvas trim. While it seems like this list of trims might be over-powering, Coach has a way of adding subtle details to make this bag anything but subtle. On the inside there is a zip pocket, multi-purpose pocket, and satin lining. Like I mentioned before, with all the different trims and textures, the outside is the focus of the bag. On the outside there are also two front pockets with turnlock closures and two side pockets also with turnlock closures. The bag measures 12 (L) x 9 (H) x 4 1/2 (W). Take a cue from Jessica Alba.

When I see a bag with straw, it shouts out sunshine and pina coladas. Right now the warm spring and even warmer summer is just upon the horizon and it is all I want to be thinking about. To get me in a sunshine state of mind is the Prada Straw and Leather Frame Bag. This frame shaped bag shows off a woven straw body and is accented with white leather trim. I love the frame shape of the bag along with the buckle details on the straps and logo plate on the front. Closing up there is a double zip closure. Overall the bag measures 8½”H X 13″L X 4″W. Can’t you see it paired with a perfectly cute flowered summer dress and a rockin’ pair of shades?? Yay for summer.
